Making memories with traditions

This week Christie Nelson shares with us some traditions she incorporates into her home life and what traditions we do in the workplace.

Traditions can be anything from Fish n’ Chip Fridays, a stuffing recipe handed down for generations or Pavlova made on Christmas Day using your great nana’s most treasured recipe.

In my household my kids get very excited for Sundays, what we call “Sunday fun day”. On Sundays we try to do something fun as a family, which could be anything from bush walks, going to a park or playground to run around and kick the ball, arts and crafts, swimming, rock climbing etc.  It does not need to be expensive, just something fun for the kids to end the week.

In our office for the past 7 years in the months of November & December we have a Christmas tradition, whereby everyone in our office has a day to bake (or buy, if the baking does not go according to plan) something for morning tea.  It does not need to be lots of food, it can be bite sized treats, basically anything eatable.  It is a great way to get everyone involved, come together at this festive time, and have a bit of fun.  Keep an eye out on the Walker Murdoch Law Facebook to see our latest entries.
